What happens during a car won't start diagnostic on my DS?
In most cases, the cause is either the starter motor or the battery that is at fault, both of which can be resolved relatively quickly.
If you notice a rapid clicking, but the engine not turning over (or turning over very slowly), it is likely to be the battery at fault. If you get a single click and the engine not turning over, that is likely to mean it is the starter motor.
If the engine is turning over fine, but not starting, then further diagnostics will be required.

Please be aware that on some vehicles these are in covered areas such as under the ashtray, at the back of a storage hole or even in the glove box, so the mechanic will need to remove anything that is blocking access to it.

- Mechanic will physically examine the vehicle’s powertrain for potential faults, such as intake air leaks, boost hose leak etc
