Last Friday, I noticed I had a problem with my front left brake. Since I needed my car for the very next day, I started looking online and found ClickMechanic. I put in a job request, and within 45 minutes, I got a message from Kyriacos who took my job. He came over that morning to diagnose the problem. We then arranged for me to go to his place that afternoon to get the brake pads fixed. It was all done within an hour!

Even though I originally booked it as needing new brake discs, it turned out I only needed the pads replaced. So, he only charged me for that brake pad work, which was great. I really appreciate their service and the quality of their work, and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone living in the Ilford area.

The service from Kyriacos from start to finish was excellent, efficient, friendly and personal from initial telephone call making appointment, update of progress, timings and costing .I will definitely use Kyriacos service again and highly recommend..

I don't have any issues with either of the mechanics that visited, however the whole ClickMechanic concept does not work as it should. I didnt want to leave any ratings, because I dont think they reflect fairly on the mechanics that visited. Its the whole ClickMechanic concept that I have problems with.

In both cases, the mechanics did not attend the appointments they were originally booked for; the first's van broke down, the second's delivery of the part was not done within the time required to make the appointment. but ok, not a biggie, say.
The first mechanic identified a fault and quoted a price, saving me from a potential MOT failure. The second mechanic spent some time on the car but did not fix the issue identified by the first and quoted by ClickMechanic, saying its my car and that he found an unexpectedly high amount of rust, and therefore he would have to take it to the garage to fix it, where he has a more complete range of equipment. If I was to proceed, the cost would be double from what was originally quoted. Unfortunately, I do not know everything about my car, and I expected the work to be completed for the quote made, which wasnt. I expect that when I get a price quoted for a job, the job gets done, which was not the case in my situation. Had I known the full cost from the beginning I would have chosen another garage.

It is worth someone in ClickMechanic reading this review and changing something in the way the company operates. Quoting for a job and then not doing (AND charging for time spent attempting to do it) will not go well with customers in general. Read more

Initial job completed satisfactory, but he didn’t notice big leak in radiator connected to the job done.
Drove away & issues.
Then 3 appointments cancelled (with another promised appointment can’t be done!) & 2 weeks of wasted time without car.
Had to repair elsewhere.
Couldn’t trust to complete job, or come on any arranged day. (Time off work wasted, missed appointments etc)

Kyriacos did an excellent job resolving the electrical issues with my car and saved me an unnecessary trip to the dealership.
