“Andrei was efficient and tackled the job with ease from the start. Once he made his assessment, he handled the job professionally despite one or two problems which were also tackled with no issues. I was kept informed of uni foreseen problems and extra repairs that only developed once the work was underway. Andrei informed me of the work and how he was going to handle it and informed me of the extra cost. A very pleasant experience whilst coping with expensive repair bill. 10/10 for Andrei in every respect . Some minus points for Cluck Mechanic admin for taking the cost from the bank too soon before completion and confirmation by the Mechanic. This resulted in my frustration and the Mechanic having to effect a refund as you overcharged me.
The system is not straight forward with regard to any additional work
that may be found. I should have been able to have it added on to current work and not have to book it on the system for a different date while the Mechanic was there doing the extra work. The auto chat facility was useless and frustrating. This resulted in being charged call out for another date while the work was actually being completed on the same appointment. Automated systems do not possess common sense. This is perhaps some food for thought for your business acumen and customer satisfaction for the future. The Mechanic has enough on his plate without having to deal with you Admin inadequacy.”

How do you know there is something wrong with the Lancia cooling system?

What are common problems with the engine cooling system in Lancia?

Here are the common problems with a cooling system:

••Low coolant**
A leak in the system will drip away reserves of coolant. Less coolant means the cooling system will be working harder and the engine will eventually overheat.

*Failed thermostat
A faulty thermostat will block the flow of coolant to your engine. The lack of coolant will suddenly overheat your engine.

Worn Water pump
A worn water pump or an issue with the motor system will mean the coolant isn’t properly flowing through the engine. Your pump will be less efficient or broken altogether which will lead to your engine overheating.

Clogged radiator
A radiator can become clogged by poor quality coolant, which doesn’t lubricate the system properly. It will mean there is less coolant and that coolant will have a harder time getting through the system. It will have a gradual noticeable effect on your MPG but otherwise, be hard to diagnose.

Faulty radiator fan
A faulty radiator fan means that air can’t flow along the fins of a radiator, taking heat away from the coolant as it passes through the radiator. This means that both the air and coolant become increasingly hot.

Fault cooling system pressure cap
A broken pressure cap will not retain the pressure on the entire cooling system. This means that steam can vent out and will rapidly reduce the efficiency of the cooling system leading to an engine overheat.
