Smart fortwo Auxiliary drive belt replacement

Hi Jeremy, I’m sorry that you have had further trouble with your car. All work I carry out is covered with a 12 month parts and labour warranty. I would have been more than happy to come back out to see what the issue was had you contacted me. Unfortunately because you have taken the vehicle to another garage I am no longer able to assist you. Replacing the auxiliary belt is a very straight forward procedure and the belt can only go on one way. I tested to make sure all the pulleys were spinning freely and also ran the car to make sure everything was ok. I’m not sure how Mercedes were able to say the belt was incorrectly fitted if it had snapped as was no longer on the vehicle.
