What does an egr valve replacement on my Volvo involve?
Whilst there are quite obviously many different engine designs on the market, there are as many different processes to change one.
There are some basic steps though that are common

How often should the EGR valve be replaced on my Volvo ?

Using so called EGR system cleaners that simply get poured into the fuel tank, will not directly actually clean the EGR valve, but as previously explained, a cleaner running engine = less deposits.
