I will never use this service again my car was picked up on Saturday and the work should of been completed it was just excuses after excuses I had a message today saying I need a new battery and he was trying to charge me £324 for a new battery I looked into this and I could of got one for £80 . They eventually towed my car back today and there’s nothing wrong with the battery.

I decided to try Clickmechanic for my MOT and service because the mechanic I've used for years has retired. I've used Clickmechanic before and I was pleased with the work carried out at the time and the mechanic that came to my house.

This garage was frantically ringing me up on Sunday evening when I was out. They wanted to change my day saying there MOT person was ill. I found it strange that there would only be one person at the garage doing MOT's but I agreed to change the day. I appreciate that my car is old but I do very low mileage and look after my car. My car failed it's MOT and I've never had a bill as big as this. I cannot get my head around how much my car has supposedly deteriorated in the last year! I had no option to agree to the work because my MOT expired while the car was with this garage, otherwise I would have got a second opinion. Tariq was great - very knowledgable and friendly. He changed my cambelt, waterpump and auxillery belt with no issues at all (and diagnosed a strange noise from the engine successfully). He did the job very quickly and was very responsive to messages. I'll definitely be using him again in the future!

I'm worried by a new rattle at the front of the car probably from the wheel area, and would like this to be checked.

Yes Tari was friendly and helpful. I dont have mechanical knowledge so can't judge the quality of his work, but the car is running fine after its service.

Tari was two people, one who spoke English, the other silent. They were supposed to replace my timing and serpentine belts along with replacing brake pads and discs. They used my full 5 litre container of coolant and put the container back in my car with the top off so it would look like an accident. They told me my battery needed replacing. I have just had the AA out and they said my battery is fine.
When they finished the work (in 1 hour 45 minutes) the engine warning light was on and they tried to convince me that the engine warning light was on when they started the work. When I challengd this (because the engine light has never come on) they then said it was the battery and rear exhaust.
Both are fine.
I have had excellent mechanics in the past, avoid these guys. Read more
