“I could not attend the pre-purchase inspection and have not bought the car yet so cannot really comment as to the competency of the mechanic - only time will tell. But I will comment on the punctuality and communication.

Leigh was helpful in picking up two possible issues with the car. He also identified that the brake pads (and sensors) need replacing. I am happy to hear that otherwise, the car is in sound condition.

Leigh arrived on time and was happy to reschedule the initial time that was booked after a request from the seller.

I received the report 2-3 hours after the appointment and he also called me to explain his thoughts. While he could not advise as to whether he could recommend the car as no one can from these inspections, I feel as though he could have explained the issues more elaborately to someone who does not know cars and the gravity of the problem, whether it was a minor or major issue in his opinion. He did mention that he's happy to take anymore queries by call.”

“I had a pre purchase inspection. Done one a few years ago via RAC for a different car but Scott’s work just felt more comprehensive, honest and straightforward. He obviously know his beans and was able to tailor advice to the car in question. RAC felt like a check box exercise. The report out from Scott was clear and he brought it to life in his verbal feedback. It was clear that he invested some time in doing the job properly. He even took the time to answer the additional questions I raised at the time of booking. Booked this service online on a bank holiday Monday and he was there the very next day. What more do you need? He gave me pointers on what to look out for at collection of the vehicle to ensure work had been done and even offered the chance to give him a shout if I had any questions. Spot on job. Trusted service. Don't often bother leaving reviews so that says it all.”

“Simon was hired to do a pre-purchase inspection on a used car I was considering buying. After a thorough check, he picked up on a couple of potentially dangerous issues, including a possible engine fault (he said something didn't seem right but couldn't pinpoint the problem, something only an experienced mechanic would pick up on) during the test drive. All info was sent via e-mail and discussed on the phone. After further investigation online, I found the fault he suspected is actually common on the make and model and leads to irreparable engine failure.
