Friendly man but the inspection was a joke.. spent more time trying to sell me air con gas. Gave no information on the state of the vehicle. Waste of time and money. Basic inspection to the point of I felt like o could do a better job. Dreadful experience especially as the last time I used the rac and they were spot on. Including a full report printed out and emailed. This guy, nothing

Where do I start, I booked a pre purchase inspection on a Porsche cayenne worth £40K+ the car was from a private seller and seemed solid with a full service record, 1 owner etc. However was I wrong, I booked this guy in as the car was 3 hours away and told him the to double check the important bits such as plugging the car in for error codes, driving just overall having a good look at the car as you would on a pre purchase inspection . He came back to me on inspection day, and said the car is perfect the engine and gearbox is mint car is basically mint apart from some wear and tear on the interior which is to be expected. He even told the owner that “it’s a guranteed sale”! Which I found out later when I spoke to the owner. Knowing this I thought let me just send my dad down as the car was for him, no need for me to go (biggest mistake I made) as my dad doesn’t know much about cars and only drove it for a minute or two so the issues were not that obvious. The day he bought the car back and I drove it I knew there was something wrong. The car has a rough idle, it vibrates sometimes when changing gears and slowing down and gear changes aren’t smooth all the time and these issues even my own GRANDMOTHER COULD TELL!!! Then I took it to my mechanic same day bearing in mind he plugged his machine in and there is a whole host of problems from clutch issues to electrical problems. So what did this guy check ? And bearing in mind he said to me he checked the car for 2hrs and drove it for more than 20 mins so the engine also got warm, and he told the owner it’s a guaranteed sale!!!! Seems as though he was bribed as even a layman could see this issues. Communication was also so poor with me having to beg him to send the report which he literally just ticked everything in the same box. Literally biggest waste of money not to mention the 40k we spent. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY TRUST ME SAVE YOUR MONEY

The mechanic was friendly however, his communication and punctuality was very poor. My time slit was 8am to 10am, buy 10.30 am he had not arrived, nor had I received a message saying he was running late. I had to call him. He said he had only just turned up at the job before mine and would be about an hour. Two hours later he still had not arrived and had not sent a message saying he was delayed. Again I had to call him to find out where he was.

I paid £177 for a premium check. It took half and hour and I got 3 photos. I am very disappointed. When I sold my vehicle 2 days before the buyer paid for a standard check and that mechanic was thorough. That mechanic took about 2 hours to do the check and gave an extensive report took lots of pics of all of the car even underneath. I don’t believe these people checked under the car like they were paid to do. When I spoke to click mechanic ( who took my money) they just say my contract is between me and the mechanic. I will never use this service again and will make sure all my contacts are aware of the bad customer they offer

Kay was very professional & efficient throughout and seemed very knowledgeable. Car was picked up on time for MOT / Service and he also attended to/resolved couple more minor repair issues with car I requested. MOT was pass but there was underbody corrosion (as advisory) so asked , as additional work, he also attended to this with underbody protection before returning car. And showed me pix of this work when picking up car. Communication was excellent throughout. Top class service.
