Andy was pleasant, on time, done the diagnostics and suggested an answer to my problem which he suggested going to another diagnostic person to get a better readout, so i believe i wasted my money on his diagnostic answer ! but andy was very helpful.

The experience was extremely poor from start to finish and fell far below what was agreed and reasonably expected.

Aaron arrived at approximately 9:30am, which was in line with the planned time. However, without any prior discussion or my agreement, he immediately took my vehicle away to an MOT test centre in Harrietsham. I live in Sittingbourne, where there are numerous local MOT centres, so this involved an unnecessary journey of roughly 30 minutes each way. At no point beforehand was I informed that the vehicle would be taken such a distance or asked to consent to this.

Around an hour later, Aaron contacted me stating that both front tyres needed replacing due to exposed cords and that this would cost £200.
This figure was presented without any prior quotation, explanation of tyre type, or discussion of options. After I challenged this, the price was suddenly reduced to £160, which further undermined confidence in the transparency and legitimacy of the pricing.

I stated that I would prefer the car to be returned, but Aaron refused, claiming it would be illegal to drive due to the tyre condition. I then received no meaningful update for several hours until I had to contact him myself at approximately 3pm. Only after I prompted him did he contact the MOT centre and then inform me the vehicle had failed its MOT.

Despite the tyres having been replaced (therefore removing the only dangerous defects that would have prevented driving), Aaron then refused to return the vehicle, stating he was too busy and in Chatham. Returning the vehicle was clearly part of the agreed service, and at no stage was I told the car might be left at a distant garage for me to collect myself.

As a result, I was forced to arrange and pay for a taxi to Harrietsham to collect my own vehicle.

Upon arrival, I was informed by the garage that the car had arrived with a flat tyre, which was the reason one of the tyres needed replacing. This damage occurred while the vehicle was in Aaron’s possession.

In addition, no full service was carried out whatsoever, despite this being part of the booking. In effect, all that occurred was:

My car was driven away without prior agreement to a distant location

It was left there all day without communication

No service work was completed

I had to collect it myself at my own expense

I incurred tyre replacement costs in circumstances that appear to have been caused during handling

I have therefore paid approximately £400 and received effectively no service.

It is were I take all my mot because I trust them to check the vehicle I pick up for all my customers and I don’t expect a tyre to split or the other tyre to be below the limit if I got stopped by police I would have 3 points on my license we pick up customer car to hopefully they look after the tyres on their vehicle we only pick up vehicles to take to the mot and after we do the service because the mot has a time slot

Land Rover 110 Defender Premium Pre-purchase Inspection

I paid £215.10 for a Premium Pre-Purchase Inspection through Click Mechanic. Kent Mechanics & Tyres was the mechanic assigned.
The premium service is advertised as a 185-point inspection including a road test, advertised as typically taking two to three hours. The mechanic was on site for less than 25 minutes and did not conduct a road test. The report marked 182 of 185 items as good on a 22-year-old vehicle, with no notes or concerns recorded.
Since taking delivery I have found six faults: non-working side lights, faulty central locking, rear seat belts that don’t latch, a rusted spare wheel, a loose indicator stalk, and paintwork damage down one side.
None were recorded in the report. The seat belt issue is a safety-critical defect.
When I raised this directly, the mechanic admitted noticing the paintwork damage and the loose indicator stalk but had not documented either. He confirmed the spare wheel had a cover on it yet still recorded it as being in good condition. He told me to take my complaints to the car dealer and, when I sent a formal letter before action, responded with “let Trading Standards call me.”
When the complaint was escalated through Click Mechanic, the mechanic’s account changed numerous times. He claimed the inspection took approximately one hour and that he had conducted a 10-minute test drive in the dealer’s yard. Neither is true. I was present throughout his visit, as was the car dealer.
Click Mechanic’s Head of Customer Service independently reviewed the report and confirmed it “does strongly appear that the report was not completed to expected standard.” He recommended a full refund. The mechanic refused.
I have since initiated a chargeback through my card provider and filed a report with Trading Standards. I relied on this inspection to make a purchasing decision and would have either negotiated a lower price or walked away had the report been accurate. I would not recommend this mechanic for any inspection work.

I was there about a 45-1 and every think on the car was working and the car dealer delivered it 7 days later so it not our fault parts are not working we told the customer to call the dealer to fix the problem but we spoke to the dealer and he said everything was working perfectly and she left a good review on his website so we done our job to inspect the vehicle

BMW 5 Series Water Coming Into Car Inspection

Work was carried out investigating why rainwater was gathering in the rear passenger footwell of my BMW F10. The mechanic quickly identified the fault and cleared the drain blockage. A quick hose test appeared to show the problem has been rectified . It hasn't rained yet since this work was carried out so we will see if this fix has worked in due course. The mechanic was friendly, honest and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to use him again.
