Problem: car not starting. Robert is an extremely competent mechanic, who managed to solve a difficult problem and went through all the checks with me until he reached a conclusion that the crankshaft positioning sensor was the fault. A few days later he returned and replaced the sensor and the vehicle started immediately proving his diagnosis was correct. He is a very likeable person and I'm very grateful to have found him via ClickMechanic. I won't hesitate to use his services in the future for all mobile car diagnostics and repairs that I have. The whole service from booking, to quotes, and repair has been an extremely pleasurable and first class experience.

Stuart was really brilliant, couldn't have asked for more! I was 3 hours away from home visiting family when my car let me down and Stuart was round the next morning. He got in touch in the morning to let me know when he would arrive. I had booked an oil change but told him there was something else wrong so he also did a diagnostic and then carried out the repairs for me. I had to go out but he kept in touch the whole time and let me know what was happening and, most importantly, I got home with no issues at all!

Appeared friendly and knowledgable on the day, agreed to quote for suggested repair of new timing belt. Quote for work received which seemed to be fair price. Fault reported related to 4 malfunctioning dashboard lights, with engine running fine. Not convinced correct diagnosis was made as seemed electical not mechanical failure. Took car to garage for 2nd opinion. Damaged wiring to cam sensor found, repair completed and all dashboard functions back to normal. Diagnostic test completed in good faith, timing belt may be stretched and will watch out for appearance of misfires and strange ticking noises. Major problem was with the inspection report that had been 'created' without inspection in order to claim the £30 fee. On the day full payment was taken the report was questioned and refund requested. After 2 weeks of messages being ignored and then arguing the case to refuse the refund, return was eventually agreed after disclosing that Ring doorbell had captured the whole visit. Submission of a fabricated inspection report to gain payment for work not completed is dishonest, but much worse than that, if relied on it could have dangerous consequences. Worn tyres declared as good, seatbelts in good working order when not, engine liquid levels good when bone dry. Simple things to check, but false declarations are accidents waiting to happen. Very disappointed as no problem with the actual visit and diagnostic test but dishonest behaviour and lack of integrity shown would strongly recommend you choose a different mechanic.
