My mechanic, Garry (my humble apologies if I got that wrong) was excellent from start to finish and I highly recommend him and his team. The experience and service level from first contact to resolution was simply first class. Communication was spot on throughout, including prior to the job to say it would be his team coming to fix my problem, again contacting me following a minor online update to the job and a courtesy call on the day of the job to explain he would be able to fix my issue on my drive rather than needing to take the car to the workshop as we had previously discussed the car going into the workshop. My VW Passat bonnet release cable had broken and the bonnet latch was also not engaging but it was not readily apparent to me which parts needed repairing. The repair was fully assessed/diagnosed and the solution explained to me prior to work being done to ensure I was happy to proceed. The work itself was then carried out and completed professionally and efficiently. Once completed he explained the repair showing me the damaged component that had caused the issue and he ensured the area was cleaned, the car was clean (where he had been working) and showed me the bonnet release mechanism was now fixed as well as the latch and that I was happy with the outcome, which obviously I was. In my mind this was not a simple job given the cable runs through from the cable release lever inside the footwell out to the front of the engine bay. He needed to check various parts of the whole mechanism to just diagnose the issue and then remove several unrelated components to remove faulty part and then install the new parts and replace the other components. This was all done professionally, methodically and expertly and then was thoroughly tested and checked prior to requesting me to inspect. My home office where I work is located adjacent to where Garry was working so I was able to see just how excellent and thorough he was first hand whilst still being able to work myself!! In summary... Excellent throughout from start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
