Handbrake sorted, car back on the road thanks to Jack who was very friendly, polite and diligent.

Told me that they recommend a new brake caliper reluctantly I agreed asked how much it was then told it was £68 asked if that was the total cost they said it would be £90 and change.result bill for £120 and change the brake pedal feels spongy so it looks like I'll have to bleed the brakes myself not pleased

On the whole we were pleased with the timing, detail and price for our vehicle inspection however, we were disappointed to find out that when we asked if the reversing sensors worked that the mechanic phoned the seller and asked them but more disappointing than that was the large patch of rust with a hole into the vehicle that was not reported and we paid £500 to have fixed after we had purchased the vehicle

Mechanic turned up late. I received a phone call to say the vehicle was in great condition. Since bringing this home, within a few days there is a coolant leak and an issue with the stop/start mechanism. Upon picking up the vehicle there was white smoke coming from under the bonnet which I presumed to just be steam (I’m no mechanic) turns out this is linked to the coolant leak. Are diagnostics not completed when doing these reviews because I’m not actually sure what I have paid for and now have a vehicle which is currently going to cost over £1000 to repair

Please use any other company than SAS. There are other mechanics on Clickmechanic. I got a clean and regeneration of the DPF. There are two parts to the regeneration and SAS only did one part, 5 days later the DPF light came back on. Once they)e mechanic 'fixed' the issue the mechanic told me the DPF clean and regeneration may not work but he had charged me anyway. As it turned out the fix did not work, as he had not finished the job!! SAS said it was not their issue. Clickmechanic agreed and both parties said I needed a new DPF at a hugh cost. I got a local garage to look at the issue. The put the car on the diagnostic system and they said the soot level was zero in the DPF, so the car did not need a new DPF. They then looked at the regeneration and realised it had not been done correctly. They did the second part and the car runs fine now. Please do not use SAS. I was lucky I got a second opinion when Clickmechanic and SAS washed their hands and tried to rinse us for hundreds of pounds. It cost me another £48 to fix the issue. I only wish I had used the local garage and saved myself a lot of hassle. SAS offered me no help as did Clickmechanic. They did not do the DPF regeneration correctly and it was not their fault, and they want to keep my money. Please if you need to use Clickmechanic, pick another company/mechanic other than SAS.

The work done was to a high standard, he was friendly and communicative at all times.

Jason was absolutely top drawer, found the issue right away and got it sorted, absolutely chuffed to have finally found a mechanic who is honest, reliable and knows exactly what he’s doing. Won’t hesitate to use Jason for all my future car work.

Didn't have much interaction with Jon, the mechanic, but the job was done in good time and no fuss. Would definitely recommend.
