Hi, sorry you feel you have not received the best service possible, just to clarify, we drain the oil from the gearbox on removal and if it appears old and dirty we always advise replacing it and this is one fluid that does get regularly missed during routine servicing, if you declined replacement we will put your old oil back in the gearbox and top it up if necessary, this is part of the job when we put it back together. In regards to your clutch cable, we can visually inspect it and it may look fine but cant tell if it is stretched until it is fitted and the operation is checked, unfortunately your cable was stretched due to your clutch failing and being extremely heavy to operate, again we cant tell this until it is refitted, hope this explains everything for you but if you do need any more assistance then feel free to give us a call.
