Jon owns and operates SMS Autocare and has been running the business for over 15 years in the Slough area. Prior to setting up SMS Autocare Jon completed his apprenticeship and was then a mobile mechanic for 5 years. The team at SMS Autocare are fully trained and able to deal with all makes and models of cars (including EV and hybrid) and tackle all repairs and MOT's including motor bikes. The team at SMS operate a garage but are fully committed to a collection/drop-off service and have 5 dedicated full-time drivers. For the collection and drop-off facility Jon will contact customers the evening before the booking and inform collection times.

The mechanic did a great job and was really helpful whenever I had questions. However, they showed up two hours late for the appointment and didn't get back to me when I tried calling. It was only after I complained on the website that they finally reached out. Once the car was picked up, communication improved. Despite these bumps, the quality of the work made it worth the price. Still, it's disappointing that my first experience on the website had to start off like this.

Hi argot, apologies again for attending your vehicle late yesterday. I did explain that the driver was stuck in traffic on the M25 for over an hour on an early pick up. This is not the normal service, we are always on time. I can’t explain why I didn’t answer the mobile, but I do know that the reception in and around our workshop is very poor,hence why I gave you the workshop number which is always attended. However I am sorry that our punctuality disappointed you on this occasion

Jon & James from SMS were excellent. My beloved 20 year old lexus failed it's MOT and I think I spoke to James who gave concise instructions what was required to make it feel better again. Few days later, even though they were short of staff that day they managed to repair and MOT PASS it within the time given (including taking and delivering it back). Excellent service. I was also given a print out of all the service checks that were done, never had this before, nice.
