Seemed to know his stuff and I have no issues with the report generated it highlighted issues with the car that I was not made aware of.

Adrian at Bates Motors was dreadful, honestly. Didn't bother telling the recovery driver there was a time window he was supposed to arrive by, so my wife was sat for another 4 hours past the window with no word as to when he'd arrive. Communication was terrible all the way through. The money was taken long before the job was done - money went, I was expecting the car to come back the next day just to be told, 'we're still working on it' - well, don't take the money then. As soon as he said more work was needed I wanted the car back as soon as possible. Looking the mechanic up online he has about three or four different addresses listed. At one point he'd taken the money, had the car, I didn't know where the car was and he wasn't answering messages. Stressful, not good at all. Luckily the work that was carried out was ok but on the whole it was not a nice experience. The mechanic that diagnosed was great. The mechanic that carried out an oil change was great. Adrian was just not great to deal with. I have since been using a local mechanic and he has stated that he's had two more people go and see him that had previously had dealings with Adrian @ Bates and wish they hadn't.

Great service and a great price. Would definitely recommend. Car was picked up from my house and returned a few hours later with the work fully completed. Seamless.

I was offered appts on the system that were not available. The mechanic was late for the agreed appt but he let me know in advance. I was told I did not need new brake pads, and I agreed not to fit them as I would save £40. I did not save £40. I should have had the new pads fitted!

Really pleased with the work carried out by A1 Auto Repair Center, i.e. replacement of all brake discs & pads. My car was collected exactly on time & returned after the work was completed within a few hours.
