Expensive and not transparent about how overall labour costs accrued. Reasons for ratings: 1) collection 1.5 hrs late 2) additional work recommended 3) overall cost of £1668.80 quoted 4) after work was paid I saw breakdown was £1337.72 for labour and £331.08 for parts 5) mechanic confirmed his daily rate was £80-£90ph but could not advise how 14hrs had accrued for labour 6) ClickMechanic reviewed and recommend just under £300 refund 7) mechanic refused If you go with this mechanic, and they advise you need additional work done, I would recommend you check the daily rate and how many hours the work is expected to take. Reading through the review, there are numerous other people stating this mechanic is expensive. He may be worth the price but, as always with things like this, it is reliant on trust and clarity around how charges were accrued. It's such a shame as the mechanic was great on the phone. ClickMechanic cannot help further in this situation.

Well, where do I start? At first everything seemed perfect. Until I received an extra quote for a radiator. £396. When I said I wanted to look at what needed the extra work, I went to the garage to find the work I declined already being done. When I questioned this I was told “don’t worry” I believe this mechanic put broken parts into my car in order to extract money from me. I put a hold on the payment as the mechanic was not willing to offer my warranty that was included in the price. The bank returned my payment but this mechanic put my card details in a second time without my consent. Since using this service, I have had to close my bank account due to multiple fraudulent transactions!! This mechanic is a thief!!! He will sell your bank details apparently! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Delighted with the service provided by Anhar and his personal communication on the car I was about to buy resulted in a very good reduction in the purchase price I would highly recommend his expertise to anyone looking to buy a used vehicle.

Pre-purchase inspection by Lee from Lancashire Car Care. In this case, Lee saved me from buying an absolute lemon of a second hand car for which I'm very grateful. Punctual and quick to reply. Phoned me as soon as he had finished the inspection. Uploaded the photos and report evidencing the check had been completed promptly. Can't fault Lee anywhere based on my experience. I was sceptical before we spoke about a mechanic I'd never met, but this changed my mind. The best thing is, Lee was impartial and discussed my potential purchase with me, giving me honest advice. Can't out a price in impartiality. This ultimately saved me a 200 mile journey for a car I thought ticked all my boxes, but which would have been a poor purchase. He even took the time to chat to me about second hand buying and cars he'd found to be reliable in his experience as a mechanic. Very helpful. When I booked through click mechanic, I had hoped I'd get a mechanic who was down to Earth, helpful and knowledgeable and in Lee I got exactly that. The mechanic failed to see a 500amp fuse had blown which stoped the alternator workin so the altinator which he took was good the problem was the starter miter which blew the 500amp fuse stoping the alternator
