Unfortunately, the problem with my car was not fixed (engine overheating). I would have thought the mechanic would run a diagnostic to identify the fault and repair it but they informed me that because I said it was the thermostat they changed the parts. I am not a mechanic and left it to them as the experts to advise me accordingly and if it was another issue would contact me so i could affirm the right job is done but that did not happen and instead they changed a part that did not require replacement then informed me they they can do the job to fix the water pump which they think is the issue and can do it directly with them. So essentially, I spent 336 pounds for nothing! I feel I have been robbed and very upset by this bad experience.

Friendly yes, knowledgable, yes, Am I happy with the mechanic's work; yes so far - but only time will tell. Two major questions are still open to some doubt, but I bought the car based largely on the mechanic's report and my personal inspection.

Jack was on time at 0800 as arranged and finished within two hours much quicker than the usual day in a garage. The brakes have certainly improved since he has carried our the work. I would certainly recommend Jack in the future if you have any maintainance issues.
