Service history not updated. No information was provided that this wouldn’t be done. Booked and now my car is missing a service log

The brake pad replacement was completed as booked at the customer’s own premises, as he had requested. This included resetting the brake pad service interval through the vehicle’s onboard system.

Updating BMW’s digital service history requires authorised access to BMW’s systems, which is not a service we provide. This was not included in the original ClickMechanic booking, nor was it requested before the work was carried out.

We regularly carry out BMW brake pad replacements, and our standard procedure includes replacing the brake pads and resetting the onboard service indicator. Both were completed successfully on this vehicle.

Regarding the collection arrangements, these were communicated and agreed upon before the work was undertaken at the customer’s premises.

It is important to distinguish between the services booked and completed and additional requirements that were not part of the original booking.

The ClickMechanic invoice also serves as documented proof of the brake pad replacement for the vehicle’s maintenance records.

Very efficient service, the process was explained to me and carried out exactly as agreed. Really good communication and all the staff I spoke to on the phone and met (when my car was collected to go to the garage for repair and dropped off again when ready) were very professional and friendly.

Although initial maintenance replacement didn’t fix the issue, identified underlying cause and gave reasonable price for full repair. On day of collection car wouldn’t then start and organised same day recovery for full fix.
