I'd asked beforehand if the work needed could be carried out once diagnosed, as I already suspected the water pump was leaking and I was assured it could be but the mechanic said he'd come so far he was unable to do it. I believed I was being sent someone local but he had come from Greenwich and wasn't happy to come back. I'm pleased he was able to confirm the problem but now I still need a mechanic

Yes and yes to both questions. However, a couple of points: 1. Previously, the servicing took place in my drive. Today, my car was collected. 2. My car was collected at 11.00 am and returned at 3.30 pm. This was ok, but not what I expected!

He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave good advice on how to fix it. Due to his availability and my request to fix it ASAP, he advised passing on the job.
