The machanic not friendly at all , he is knowledgeable but once he strip the car and he doesn't put back properly, he seems to be always in rush to do other Jobs , communication very poor mostly if he have to come back to fix the problem again its not easy for him to come back he likes complaining and urgues .

Wayne arrived (it cost £75.00) for him to come out (this is relevant to the rest of the story). My car wouldn’t start and he came to the conclusion that it needed a new battery. I asked him how much they would cost and his response was "a couple of hundred". Wayne left to retrieve the new battery and came back to fit it. I’d gone back inside when he’d left, only to see that I’d had a notification from my bank saying that a payment had been rejected. He then rang me to let me know the payment wasn’t going through. He was charging me £420 something, that’s why it was rejected, if you were wondering. He said the battery would be £200 so I had the money ready, which can only mean, when broken down, he charged around £200 for his LABOUR. Already paid £75 for him to come out. Who needs £200 to literally swap a battery???? He also didn’t make this clear at all until he was already charging my card and I’m not sure he would have discussed it with me at all if the appropriate money had been in there. Just to top it all off, the new battery worked for about a week and upon speaking to another garage, they have confirmed that the issue is actually with the start motor. I’m a young female so it makes me wonder whether he would have tried his luck so much if the client was a grown man.

Kai was excellent. Worked in the pouring rain and still did the job to a high standard and really efficiently. Would highly recommend.

Shame the scores are only 5 stars as Edd Hunt went above what I expected and I received a very comprehensive report and telephone follow up from him. He took the time to contact me prior to the inspection and asked if there were any particular concerns I may have about the vehicle. I did have the full inspection and I’m so glad I did, Edd was able to uncover numerous issues and provided photographic evidence that made me realise that the vehicle I was looking to purchase wasn’t as great as it appeared. I was able to cost the repairs required that I used to offer a lower price to the seller, they declined, but I’m not disappointed just happy I haven’t purchased a lemon!

Very reliable arrived perfectly on time carried out all the required test. Very impressed. Very professional. Definitely would recommend using saltmarsh to anybody looking for a pre-vehicle inspection.
