Edward did a pre-purchase inspection on a van. He was very professional, friendly and generous with his explanations in layman's terms. His report was clear, easy to understand and called to speak through over the phone and answer my questions. He flagged some important and potentially costly faults, including electronic system diagnostic. I ultimately decided to not purchase the van but learnt a lot through the experience and felt value for money for level of service and the information to make an informed decision regarding large purchase.

Prior to this Edd held the title of being ranked the Number 1 mechanic in the UK & Ireland for 3 years according to the LOTM. He won the National contest and was crowned number 1 in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Contests, in each case after competing over the course of 5 months against mechanics from across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Edward is the only person ever to achieve the ‘hat trick’ worldwide (the contest is held in 38 countries globally) as announced live on BBC Radio 2. Having achieved the record Edward retired from the contest undefeated before going on to win his current title European 'Auto Mechanik of the year'. The interview on the BBC can be seen here:

Edward is a third generation car mechanic who has always been a car enthusiast from a very young age. He began his professional career in the motor trade as an apprentice technician at Volkswagen. He gained a wealth of experience, mainly at a VW main dealer, but with time spent in the VW commercial workshop as well the Seat & Skoda workshops. He also spent 2 years as a specialist patrol for the AA dealing with breakdowns on all manner of vehicle from mopeds to HGV.
Edd works as a Consultant on an International level trouble shooting complex faults for garages mostly across the United Kingdom but his reputation has spread further afield and has also been called out to jobs as far away as Ireland, Italy and Switzerland.
