Jake could not make it and sent Dan in his stead. Dan explained that the diesel filter had become blocked and I needed to go on a long run at high speed to clear it. So time will tell if this resolves the problem.
I paid for a full diagnostic check (£30 instead of £50), it took a minute or so, apparently all is well!

They were great communicated every step of the way phoned me on the day to give me a time they would arrive, cleared the engine code then said what it could be and that it would need to go in just to make sure...
