Jake called at the weekend to let me know he had the part ready.
He also told me who would be doing the collection.

Brilliant. Honoured my respect for an early pick up and drop off as I had an airport run. Asked them to check my slow puncture, they fixed it at no extra cost. Definitely defaulting to them for all my repairs.

Jake could not make it and sent Dan in his stead. Dan explained that the diesel filter had become blocked and I needed to go on a long run at high speed to clear it. So time will tell if this resolves the problem.
I paid for a full diagnostic check (£30 instead of £50), it took a minute or so, apparently all is well!
