Good service and communication. I paid c. £320 for an oil change and replacement pump for the windscreen washer which was cheaper than other quotes, plus it removed the hassle of going to a garage. Would recommend.

Darren was great. Phoned ahead to say when he was coming; went back for a new battery without complaint, despite having been assured by the suppliers that they had given him the correct one! Completed the job, tested and demonstrated what he had done, and left the car in pristine condition. Cannot fault him in any way. Very very happy - thank you Darren

Mohammed was polite and got on with the task rapidly. My van started ok, after fitting a new starter motor. However, when I came to use it, to travel home, the battery warning light was on and stayed on, while driving. I sent Mohammed a message when I got home but received no acknowledgement or reply. Next day, I called his number and left a voicemail, asking how this will be fixed, no reply. Someone else checked problem for me on the 21 June and found the alternator connect wire, had been left off the starter motor, by Mohammed, hence not charging! This cost me £50 to rectify.

This was my first time using Clickmechanic. Pleased that Igor advised me in advance that his mechanic was running late, since he was waiting for the part to arrive and had to collect a tool. Once he began the job it was done well and completed the job in 2 hours - replacing the drive belt and wet timing belt while on my driveway. The mechanic spoke very little english, so any communication was done on the phone with Igor. The issue with this was that although the mechanic also idenitified an issue with the clutch he did not communicate this clearly and I was told that the car was good to run. Unfortunately, the next morning, after driving about half a mile - the clutch failed on the way into work and I had to have a tow to a garage. So ended up having to leave my car in a garage in any case, which is what I was trying to avoid by using Clickmechanic. Igor was helpful, as he tried to price up the clutch replacement and find a garage where he could get the work done, but ultimately I went with somewhere local. Understandably, the clutch would have been a separate job, but either out of bad luck or poor communication, I ended up with this additional hassel, that I felt could have been avoided if I had received better post-repair advice regarding the clutch issue.

Joseph came prepared to fit a new starter motor if needed but the diagnostic showed it was a battery failure. He jump-started the engine to give a small recharge until it was running sweetly and did a comprehensive check of any other potential problems, and said otherwise the car was in good condition. As a friend could supply a new battery the next day I was happy to get helpful advice and a load off my mind, having feared it was something serious. Great to have individual attention at a time to fit in with my day, instead of waiting for recovery to a big garage with competing jobs going on, and all done in the rain too.
