Awful experience overall. Rob replaced the timing belt and started the car out of timing so that car ran rough and stalled hard. Rob said that this would not cause any damage as the car is non interference when in fact it is an interference engine and damage could have been caused .Following this Rob corrected this and once started the car made a horrible whining noise which he tried to play off as the auxiliary belt. Once the aux belt was removed the noise was still there so he said he would return the following day to replace with a new timing kit. The following day came and went with an excuse given for why he couldn't make it. Rob did turn up the day after this and replaced the kit and the noise went away. Rob promised to run a compression test on the car to prove that the miss timed belt hadn't cause any long turn damage. Rob plugged in a computer to the car and said that he would send me the results by email which would also show compression results . Since then Rob has ignored all my attempts to contact him and has not sent the results he promised. My car now emits black smoke when accelerating which wasn't the case before he got his hands in my car and have been told that this may be due to the timing not being correct following it's replacement. All in all a horrible stressful experience from a mechanic who clearly doesn't care about his customer.

Gary was fantastic, friendly and tried out an alternative option first to see if it was a cheaper repair.. But alas my alternator had burnt out. Very efficiant new replacement&was good to go with advice abt my car battery. Well done Gary X

Mechanic did the job professionally and efficiently. The only thing I found strange was that I didn't actually get an Invoice/Receipt (which is important)
