Avoid this mechanic like the plague. We purchased a premium inspection as I wanted to be sure we were getting a good car for my daughters first vehicle. The results of the inspection came back fairly positive. Certainly enough to go ahead with the purchase. Within 30 minutes of driving the car away from the seller, the engine management and service lights both came on and the car went into limp mode. We managed to get the car home in limp mode the whole way back. It then started making this awful bang every time we put our foot on the accelerator. So we took it straight to our local garage. They found the sealants on the injectors were broken and also the high pressure fuel pump was leaking petrol. They replaced both these parts but the engine management light/service light/limp mode was still there. They were unable to find the route cause and advised it would have to go to a main dealer. The car has been at DS Automobiles for 6 weeks and over £1500 spent on further repairs and the fault is still there. They told me the car has had numerous repairs incorrectly fitted. They advised the catalytic converter next needed to be replaced at a cost of £1900 and if that didn’t fix it, then it would require a new engine at a cost of £8,500 with even then no guarantee the problem would be fixed. We bought the car on 18 August and during this time we had use of the car less 6 weeks during which time it drove only in limp mode. I had to finally take the car to webuyanycar to get rid of it with a loss of thousands of pounds. I specifically oredered a premium inspection for peace of mind since it was a private seller. I would never have bought the car had I known about such a major fault. The inspection was not worth the paper it was written on. I cannot understand how a supposedly professionally trained mechanic could have missed such a major fault. All Mohammed’s response to this was “the owner had done 100 miles in the car between inspection and purchase and must have driven it hard” We are in the process of buying another car and will get an inspection done but it definitely won’t be from Clickmechanic.

Nathan was very friendly, explained exactly what he was going to do with my car and gave me good feedback after the service was completed. I was really happy with his work and sitting at home whilst it was all done rather than in a cold garage was much nicer.

Omar was fantastic, he explained and showed me exactly what the problem was and was extremely friendly. He then helped me to arrange the next step.
