To be honest, the day after I bought the car after it was inspected by one of you mechanic , I had a broken alternator belt and an engine lights coming up to the dashboard

Hi, sorry to hear that but when I carried out the inspection I clearly did mention in the report which was highlighted amber, that there was an issue with the alternator pulley as it had brown dust all around it, so that is most probably the reason why the belt snapped and would cause the engine warning light to come on.
