In 2002 I set-up Mobile Auto Care with my brother Lee. and the business has grown from strength to strength and we now have 10 mobile mechanics in the team who are all fully qualified. As previously stated, Lee is very knowledgeable and very helpful, just can’t rely on him arriving within the requested booking time, apart from that I would definitely use him again because he knows his stuff and readily gives you advice as well, so thank you Lee.

The mechanic sent by Darren was very punctual, polite - all good. Price quoted was also very good.

As far as the service goes, bit of a mixed bag I'm afraid. I got a call from the mechanic (I was at work so my partner was in) to say that the service light couldn't be reset, and that there's nothing he could do as he doesn't do electronics, with a note left on the account: "The service light couldn’t be reset as the system wouldn’t allow the vehicle to reset the service light as the ignition doesn’t stay on without the engine running and cannot be reset whilst the engine is running."

After a minute on Google I found the procedure that states that the engine must in fact be running.
I eventually reset the light myself in a couple of minutes. Not a huge deal but not something I expect to have to do after a full service.

More importantly, I got in touch with Darren the day before to mention that the driver side dipped beam wasn't coming on, most likely dead bulb. Darren said no problem, we'll look at that as well. Nothing was done as the headlight still doesn't come on. I realise this wasn't on the original order, but the service steps detailed on the manual (and Clickmechanic) clearly state "Check operation of interior and exterior lights." Obviously that wasn't done as it's pretty easy to spot.

In itself that's not a big deal, but if something that obvious was missed I'm pretty apprehensive that something more major wasn't checked... Specifically, again from the service description on Clickmechanic: "Carry out tyre report" and "Carry out brake report." I have no way of knowing as no report was left.

With hindsight I wish I could have been here when the service was carried out as it now leaves me thinking I'll need to take time and money to get a further check (with recorded results) done at a garage.

Ian certainly knows his stuff, although late he was straight to it when he arrived, not only completed the wirk he came to do but found the cause of the problem and fixed that as well, really fast, efficient and very knowledgeable. Sourced additional parts required locally to ensure job completed that day and dTook Ian about 5 mins to diagnose the fault with my VW Caddy, even though a previous garage had stated no faults found.
Exstreamly polite, helpful and very efficient idn’t have to return and leave me another day without my vehicle, can’t thank her m enough for that.
And Darren was mist helpful and kept you fully updated and in the know over the phone.
So thank you both very much.
Couldn’t ask for more, will definitely use again and highly recommend.
