After being messed around by 3 mechanics asking me to drive my undrivable car to them, I turned to Clickmechanics again after initially dismissing them. I had seen their website on the off chance looking for mobile mechanics. I thought they were a scam, especially when I was instructed to leave my card details. I stopped the booking and contacted them to see if I could book through PayPal. They didnt accept payment tis way, so I went back to searching for a mechanic elsewhere. After the 3rd mechanic, I did more research on Clickmechanics and found the company was registered on Companies House. I also found articles about its founder Andrew Jarvis, notably in the journal Management Today. . I needed my car fixed and became desperate. So I booked and prayed. I received a courtesy call confirming the booking and an email. I was even more panicked thinking ' These might be smart hoaxers' . I called on they day the appointment just to see what would happen. An individual answered and advised 'Lee' was nearby and would be with me soon. In my mind I thought 'Okay, expensive lesson learned if noons turns up today'. So! When my doorbell rang and I saw a live person called Lee on my doorstep ready to fix my car, I was so relieved I could have fallen on bended knee and proposed to him! Lee was friendly and very helpful. He took time to show me the issues with my car. Trust me, I used to know next to nothing about my car. I just wanted to get in and drive! I have now revised that way of thinking thanks to Lee!
Unfortunately RAC had misdiagnosed the issue, so Lee had to explain the correct part needed to be ordered directly from my car dealer. This did take 2 days to arrive, but that was fine as I had made arrangements. When Lee arrived his manager Darren also arrived. So I am happy to confirm this service is REAL! Mobile mechanics at booked and DO come to you! I was extremely impressed by both Darren and Lees customer service skills and of course mechanic skills! Darren was given the job of replacing a wheel bearing on my Mondeo. I wasn’t actually in at the time so my partner dealt with the guys while they went about their job. Darren and the boys were polite and courteous throughout and got the job done quickly. The car is now quite, great job. Will definitely use Darren again.
