I started out with my dad in mechanics in his garage learning the trade before going to college to get my qualifications. In 2002 I set-up Mobile Auto Care with my brother Lee. and the business has grown from strength to strength and we now have 10 mobile mechanics in the team who are all fully qualified. We will inform you of which of our mechanics will be attending your job when we accept it, you'll always be in safe hands! At Mobile Autocare we tackle all types of repairs and work on all makes/models of car, so whatever the issue we'll fix it!

Lee was the first mechanic, who unfortunately brought the wrong battery. This was not his fault though, but the person who ordered the battery. Our next machanic was Darren, who had the job sorted in 5 minutes.

Honda FR-V Attempted alternator replacement

Arrived late to change an alternator on my FRV. Couldn't do job, told me he will change it in his workshop. Later he denied it, blamed me for his failure, charged me with the part and even with labour. Refused to take the part back. No point using ClickMechanic as they won't take responsibility for their mechanics. You might get lucky, but would you risk it?

Let me start by apologising But i completely disagree with this review yes the job couldn’t be carried out Mobile (not all jobs can) but alternative arrangements was made with no extra cost for a workshop visit which yourself declined stating the job had to be Mobile or not at all.
Vehicle subframes cannot be dropped on trolley jack and axle stands because the job becomes dangerous due to the extreme weight of the subframe.
So I’m extremely sorry for unable to carry out the job but the safety of the mechanics comes before any dangerous situation.
In regards of the part at your own request you wanted to keep the part the mechanic was more than happy to return the part again with no CHARGES but you insisted you wanted the alternator so you was charged for the alternator only.

Yes I agree you contacted a mobile mechanic to have this job done and I’m extremely sorry the job is not possible Mobile but as stated alternative arrangements with made and we offered a free sameday pick up and drop off on which you strongly declined.
I’m very sorry the job never got completed but some jobs are just not possible Mobile including this job.

Lee was more than 2 hours late and apologised nicely and spent a further 9 minutes with the diagnostic tool and identified two faults and reset one fault although was unable to advise where the second Hill Start Yaw Sensor problem was located as he had no practical knowledge of that particular fault which he had not seen before and then left within the total on site 15 minutes although he reported the issue to Darren who soon advised cost and delivery to replace unit that at least went part way to solving the fault

Unfortunately I’m going to disagree with this review yes lee was late due to a delay in his previous job which couldn’t be helped and when Lee arrived got straight on with the job in hand.
I fully stated I couldn’t do the repair until next week because the required part was a dealership only part which was 3-5 working days (parts availability is completely out of my hands)
So I gave you a alternative solution for the repair to go ahead Friday morning has your selling the vehicle on Sunday.
So I have gone that extra mile to help and get the vehicle ready for Sunday and yet you leave a negative review like this.

Other than Lee being late (no fault of his own) everything else was carried out correctly so what more could we have possibly done to make you a happy customer (obviously we didn’t do enough)
