I booked a priority service by paying 90 pounds. The mechanic kinda reached late but I won’t hold it against him because they are hard working people. It’s ok I’m happy I at least got a mechanic to my doorstep. But what really troubled me was after inspection he said my alternator needs replacing and gave me a quote for 600 pounds. Well before spending such amount I thought it would be wise to get a second opinion. Turns out the alternator was totally fine and the issue was with crankshaft pulley. I got the whole thing fixed for under 400. Imagine if I had paid 600 for the alternator and later found out about the crankshaft. Another 400? You see where it was going? So the 90 quid I paid for priority service went right down the drain. I neither got the right diagnosis nor a solution. I mean no offence to anyone but if you are charging 90 quid at least make it worth for the customer. Lesson? Don’t expect proper diagnosis at your doorstep. Always best to take your vehicle to the garage.

Communication was ok but work has been poor. Got call to say that additional work is required and charged me considerable amount of money. Car was returned but then another light stopped working (not even part of initial work). Contacted garage to offer them to come and see but was ignored. Went to local garage and they told me that bulb replacement that I was charged for wasn’t even done. Now I had to order parts that they have missed and not happy at all

Mechanic was friendly and quick with the MOT and service I had booked - and went the extra mile to replace a rear bulb for me too which would have only been advisory. Thank you!

Jon repaired electrics and offered to find spare parts for more permanent solution. As car is quite old, spare parts are difficult to obtain but he tried nevertheless and written to manufacturer. Excellent.
