Mechanics opinion of the vehicle and its history I found was based on the owners comments rather than own investigation.
Definitely a tick box exercise, a lot of boxes ticked on the job sheet didn’t match with the true condition of the vehicle and being told the vehicle drives spot on just doesn’t cut it for me unfortunately. £200 waisted on this inspection I will use AA or RAC in future for full transparency.

Wow I’m shocked at this review I really am guys, out of the 420 jobs I’ve completed on here and five star reviews I have this is my first one that I just couldn’t please at all no matter what I done for this man, first of all I went far and beyond for this customer, it was a pre purchase check and after sending this customer 50+ pictures which I do off my own back for all my customers as on the report it allows you 4 pictures and also after 2 hours on the pre purchase check and back and forth liaising with my customer and the seller of the vehicle, apparently being Scottish I wasn’t allowed to say and I quote “the van drives spot on” I mean come on the van drove more than spot on but I’m sorry I ended up a mechanic and not an English teacher as I’m rubbish with words my friend, This customer I went above and beyond for and because he took several days to respond to the seller the seller then sold the vehicle to another Customer and I got the brunt of it I am only assuming, I’m very saddened with this bad review to be fair but what can I say there’s always going to be that one customer we will never please no matter what we do for them, I feel I was treated badly from this customer and he spoke to me with harsh words on the phone for doing my job and he said he would end my career, I wish you all the best sir with your van hunting,

Derek was amazing! He accepted my booking at really short notice and was extremely professional. His report was spot on and gave me the heads up about extra work that would be needed on the car soon. So I got money off the asking price and easily made back the money spent on the check! Well worth it anyway for peace of mind, especially as Derek answered some more questions about the car in a follow-up phone call. Thanks Derek!
