Lia and her partner came out to change the starter motor on my van. After doing an inspection and finding an earth cable had been cut after replacing the cable van started straight away and it wasn’t the starter . So good job done

I'm not a mechanic. This is a warning to all those who are also not mechanics. My handbrake failed locked on. The RAC came out, released it in less than 3 minutes and said I needed a new brake cable. I needed my estate car to take 4 adults and luggage to an airport in 4 days time. My local garages said they didn't have availability so I looked online and came across click mechanic. I booked a mechanic to come out the day before we were due to go to the airport. It was the earliest slot. The mechanic arrived 6 hours late and in the evening replaced the brake cable. They then explained that this would not fix the handbrake as I had specified the wrong cable. I am not a mechanic. I'm sure they did a lovely job replacing the cable that didn't need replacing, but I would have preferred they called me an idiot and just charged for call out. They also felt the need to point out other faults they would like to fix on the car. For some reason, I wasn't interested. Surprisingly you can fit 4 adults with luggage in a Peugeot 108 to our amazement, so holiday saved. However, I will not use click mechanic ever again. The car is now booked into a garage where they will replace the broken bit rather than the bit that a non-mechanic like me suggests. I believe I have been honest and I have not disputed the payment - they did what was asked. I just think that doing the work before pointing out that it was the wrong cable was poor. The mechanic has a right to reply to this message, but I can't reply to that.

Raul was brilliant for my pre purchase inspection. He called me prior to the appointment to see if I had any particular concerns, took loads of pictures and called me afterwards to go through his findings to discuss the issues. Cannot fault the service and he was a pleasure to talk to. All round super service. Thank you!
