Correy was booked to do an interim service and MOT. He arrived earlier than the specified time but telephoned me to say he would be with me in 5 minutes. Correy telephoned me a short time later to say that unfortunately my car had failed its MOT and advised me that I needed two new headlights and also a couple of advisory notes. My car is 18 years old. I asked Correy if he would be able to carry out the work needed to be done regarding the headlights and to MOT it again. He would be able to do it the following day and immediately informed ClickMechanic so they were able to give me a quote. Correy telephoned me again the next day after all works on my car had been completed to say he would be with me within 10 minutes.

Dan was very knowledgeable and helpful with all questions asked and if there was another issue and he thought it was not worth the money doing he’d tell you so…

On the day of the car inspection, the weather was bad, the appointment was short notice/ later in the day and the car was located in an awkward place, but Henry went out of his way to do the job without any fuss and immediately contacted me afterwards to discuss his findings. The mechanic that came to me was polite and friendly but was unable to help because he didn't have a jack that could fit under my car so had to pay over £70 for nothing wasn't even offered a partial refund so I wasn't happy

Ben was very professional. He jumpstarted my van and checked the charging system was working. I would highly recommend him.

This was a complete waste of time and money. 1. The mechanic was late arriving but provided no communications and advance warning. He turned up with a friend who appeared to have no role in the service. 2. He took 5 minutes to connect the computer to download fault messages and then announced that the engine light was caused by a blocked diesel particulate filter. He noted that the separate power transmission warning light "was probably related and should go away once the filter is cleaned". He said that there was no separate error message for this light and appeared to be unable to describe the meaning. 3. I requested a quotation to clean the filter but he was unable (or unwilling) to get a quote from ClickMechanic online and said that I needed to do this myself using the error message that he included in the email to me. He added that it would be a lot better to go to a regular garage for the filter clean as it is difficult for a mobile mechanic to do this without a jack that raises the whole car providing better access. 4. I felt that he went through the minimum effort and fobbed me off by sending me to a regular garage. 5. I took the opportunity to ask him to identify and quote to fix the loud clicking behind the glove compartment which he said that he could not help with as it was not clicking at that moment. He said I probably needed to replace a relay. 6. I took the car to a local garage the same afternoon and then it became clear what a dreadful (non-existent) service has been provided by ClickMechanic. Firstly the blocked filter is a result of another underlying fault and would regenerate as soon as this is rectified. He connected his computer and immediately identified a second error message indicating that there is too low temperature to perform a regeneration and this is what set off the power train warning light. This is why the filter is blocked and a fix is required of the diesel injection system used to carry out regeneration. If I paid to clean the filter, it would then just fill up again causing the same fault. This is apparently common for diesel fords with mileage above 80,000. 7. He said that the clicking noise is also a very common fault and is solved by cleaning out a part of the air conditioning system which takes about 30 mins. There are no electrical relays located here. 8. Overall, I wasted £80+ using ClickMechanic and received incorrect information and misleading advice on the clicking. I had to pay again for the same service by a local garage with a technician who knew what he was doing and was professional. His fee for connecting was half that of ClickMechanic. This was very very poor and a good reason never to use this organisation again. I am considering raising a complaint with Trading Standards depending on how ClickMechanic responds to this review.
