He diagnosed my coolant leak to be coming from auxiliary radiator correctly but the quote for the new radiator to be installed is excessive. £775 for the part and 2 hours labour for £154. Having done some research I have ordered the part for £200 (not from the main dealer but a reputable German brand Mahle) and will fit it myself. Even with my novice car repair skills it will only take me 1 hour to do it so I am sure an experienced mechanic could do it faster than I can right? I feel sorry for people who are completely clueless and would have no choice but to pay £944 I got quoted.
