Even though the payment has been taken the job itself has not been completed yet , so it might be too early to request a review. The repair is on the instrument cluster as diagnosed by him. Mechanic said it can be completely replaced and he could find one on eBay for about £250, or he could repair my one. One at a lower cost would be preferable just to lower the overall cost. But he’s come back today to take out the one in my car for repairs instead and said will take it to another mechanic to do the repair and bring back once it's done. When he arrived today to pick up the cluster i asked about a warranty he said he does a warranty on his work for 12 months. However the person whom he said he’s taking it to (another mechanic in your team he said he doesn’t know what warranty he offers. I haven’t been given details of that mechanic and if I'll be able to provide feedback for him. So I'm unsure about that in case I should have a problem with the repair done. Unfortunately I wasn’t really expecting this or the length of time it could take from a mobile service as well - he’s said this other mechanic repairing the cluster has a backlog so at most I should expect to get the repaired cluster instrument in a weeks time which could be disappointing as I obviously was hoping to get this sorted sooner same day, having selected a mobile service. I don’t really know whether I’ll have it fixed in two days or 3 etc because he said it could be done in a day. Plus I’m not sure of the pricing because your website says payment is after work's complete. It's not done yet and I must say it's a bit pricey repair for labour and parts when it's repair/soldering, not replacement. I'm hoping for the best. But to be honest I would be hesitant to rate,recommend , or not just yet without the end result and also because of the repairs timing issue. Regarding punctuality he arrived slightly ahead of times given .
