I was not happy atall with the level of work! They tried to charge me for recovery on clickmechanic which I am refusing to pay £70 for via email invoice and continued to drive my car back 35 miles without letting me know, on a car with a black box, without letting me know beforehand. Under normal circumstances the car is picked up and returned in the same way, if it was being driven I would need and expect to be notified not asked “ how did you expect us to drop it back?”. The garage continued to call me and request an extra £140 on top of the £380 quoted. £25 for “Sundried siezed bolts” which were not broken prior to being given over to James and I was “snapped” during the replacment of my clutch by what the receptionist and so I am unsure why I am paying for something I did not break, especially since it was not given to you as such. (I have an AA diagnosis of the issues with my car before it was given over) and a whopping £115 for the recovery which I was told was not £70 because of commision that click mechanic takes(which somehow leaves me paying £45 extra to cover that). To top it off my car returned to me with a steering issue, screaming inside the hood, my breaks working poorly and not as well as they did before, dynamics system faulty and the wheels were wobbly. None of which I found out until after I had driven it and stopped roadside 5 mins down the road because the breaks and dynamics system in the car were not working properly and all the above. Even thought my clutch is fixed I still can’t drive my car because when I drive and turn corner it is screeching and almost stopping and the entire car is moving abnormally. All of these issues concern me because 1. they drove back with these issues and sounds and still claim nothing was wrong with it during the test drive and 2. I could’ve been badly injured had I driven my car at high speeds at this quality. They have gone against the road traffic act 1988 - where it is illegal to supply a car that is not road worthy. Additionally, the click-mechanic website says that the mechanics are supposed to inform me of all work done BEFORE it is compelted and that someone would explain what had been done in person when the car was dropped off. Which was not done. and none of the bolts I was told were broken/ snapped had been shown to me via picture or in person. Instead the person who drove the car back to my house, quickly jumped out the car, was rude when we simply asked if fuel had been put in the car considering they drove it back about an hour and several times throughout the day (my black box picked up the car being driven 5 times before being dropped off to me at 12.08pm, 1.30pm, 1.58pm and 1.45 pm and 2.38pm.) and left as soon as we had gotten the key telling us “please do” with a grin when we said we would take it up with the manager. I did not get a call explaining the work that had been done or that my car was coming back to me until 3.15pm Tuesday 4th June 2024. My car was retuned to me at 4.00pm Tuesday 4th June 2024. ( I have time stamped pictures of the mess left after being dropped off) And what’s even better is that my car was covered in greasy hand marks both inside and outside and the repair bolts were left open on my back seat in a box that says to make sure you close it. This garage is of very poor quality and professionalism and after all of this and no fix have threatened me with legal situations regarding small claims court for me not paying the money for the Bolts (after saying they would not charge me as a “courtesy” for which I have the invoice of both charged with and without the bolts) and for the incomplete and unsatisfactory delivery of my car. On top of that they seem to have a BRAND new website all of a sudden and one other one, the old one. As well claiming that they “keep their their clients updated throughout the appointment” and that I can “rely on maes autos to carry out every job with expertise and accuracy” with a “high standard of workmanship that we can be proud of” they proceed to claim “We will never surprise you with unexpected fees, as we believe in the value of transparency and trust”. NONE of this I have received in my limited communications with MAEs autos. A lot of the genuine and real reviews not the fake ones also seem to agree that maes will give you your car back worse than you gave it to them. Never trust them. Never use them. In all this click mechanic has also been absolutely useless, telling me they’re just a 3rd party. Implant for booking and that all refunds etc lies with the mechanic. I would never even recommend either to my worst enemy

On time talked a good 10 mins about what could go wrong and what it should be like when it works very informative conversation very friendly but not over the top new his job inside out then got on with his work he took the car out for a while from totally blocked to 62% the best I could of wished for,deep down this was the last resort before having to get a new Dpf very expensive especially for a Mercedes of any age with being disabled I don’t do a lot of miles but the mechanic explained how best to try and keep the soot and other sh++ at a manageable level once again thanks for a job well done.

Very disappointed. ClickMechanic site said that OE part would be used; it wasn't. Invoice from mechanic listed the part as having cost £115.32; CarParts4Less list price is £28.49.

Tanveer turned up when he said he would. He did a full service and mot. He also gave some pertinent advice about what to do regarding certain items in the car for the near future. Overall very pleased and Taneer himself is a pleasant knowledgable man. I would recommend.

Dean went above and beyond for my booked pre-purchase inspection. Rang me en route to discuss the car I was purchasing. This was a Category S Yeti 4x4 and I needed independent reassurance that the repairs were of a good professional quality and that this fairly rare car was going to be a good buy with no hidden problems. I was reassured that he has had a lot of experience of this type of car category. He then rang again after the inspection to see if I needed any clarifications about his report and made a couple of important suggestions to resolve with the dealer before purchase. I now have peace of mind that this really is going to be a great value and safe purchase. The customer care and communication from Dean was faultless. Such a pity he is not a N Devon local, I would certainly like him to be my local mechanic.
