Jon owns and operates SMS Autocare and has been running the business for over 15 years in the Slough area. Prior to setting up SMS Autocare Jon completed his apprenticeship and was then a mobile mechanic for 5 years. The team at SMS Autocare are fully trained and able to deal with all makes and models of cars (including EV and hybrid) and tackle all repairs and MOT's including motor bikes. The team at SMS operate a garage but are fully committed to a collection/drop-off service and have 5 dedicated full-time drivers. For the collection and drop-off facility Jon will contact customers the evening before the booking and inform collection times.

Yes mechanic was friendly but not sure if he had diagnosed the fault codes with OBD code scanner

Hi thank you for your feed back
However you was only booked in to supply and fit a egr valve that was diagnosed by the AA no diagnosis was carried upon on behalf on this booking , this was communicated to yourself prior to the booking.
As for a obd scanner we use stat of the art diagnostic machines costing tens of thousands of pounds not a eBay device

Did what he came to do tbh I stayed in bed whilst the work was being done so can’t really comment further other than the job has been completed and I’m happy with it the little interaction I had with the mechanic he was polite and friendly
