Well, did expected that he will do more checks on car. But at least I needed a professional mechanic to confirm that car is not for driving (as I have just recently bought it from a dealer).

Normally I would do more checks but the engine is in such and unsafe way I really didn't want to keep it running in case it caused more damage,and that may mean the dealer would try and blame you.
The fact of the matter this car isn't fit for purpose and it really unsafe.
The law states that within the first 30 days you can reject the car for a full refund. And in this case that is the right thing to do The car engine really is on it s last legs,and even running it risked the timing belt breaking
Trading standards are the people to get hold of

Unfortunately the diagnostic analysis proved not to be totally correct nor did it identify the misfiring problem on the engine. A later check carried out on the vehicle was able to pinpoint the faulty component and once replaced allowed the vehicle to run normally.
In this case Click mechanics were unable to either identify or resolve the problem, so unfortunately a waste of money for us.
The additional alarms shown, relating to faults on the braking system and the ECU unit proved to be
spurious alarm signals put out by the engine management system when this particular engine fault occurs, they simply reset themselves once the vehicle is up and running again, why this should be the case, I suppose can only be answered by VW and/or whoever manufactures their engine management system (no doubt in China somewhere).

The diagnostic software you use appears only to be able to echo what the engine management system is already displaying on its own dashboard alarm panel and is not capable of checking the vehicle in an "as is" situation thus was unable identify the problem causing the engine misfire.
The air conditioning problem we were already aware of, due to the obnoxious quote given to us by the VW garage to have it checked and repaired we decided to live without.

We do use very up to date systems that do cost 1000s of pounds however sometimes however the car systems simply wont talk unless its a main dealer.thank you for understanding and leaving a good review
