Vauxhall Insignia Plug-in Diagnostic Inspection

Despite what I‘ve done to my car, James as a mechanic didn’t do anything to do the plug-in diagnostic.
Pretty much I’ve paid £30 for nothing, because at the end there was no diagnostic.
Poor service, poor management,

To be honest words fail me.
I arrive to find you looking after a young child,who you are allowing to run around near traffic with a screwdriver in his hand.
You are so preoccupied with your car this childs welfare you ignore.
Your car had no battery vital to plug a car in.And with a child being allowed to run around unchecked.You then explained you had the battery in your flat and left me to look after your child.On returning with the battery you then explained I was to drive the car with you sitting in it and your child on your lap. I cancelled the booking.
You simply received a call out fee.
I simply had to leave.I could witness your lack of childcare any more.
I did make a phone call after my visit to you as I was very upset and concerned for that small child.
Your only concern was for your car that you had started to remove things prior to my visit and not one concern for I presume your son.

James carried out an insightful and very useful pre-purchase inspection on a van that I could not view or examine for myself. His verbal report and background knowledge of the vendors, backed up by the e-mailed report and pictures, convinced me that the vehicle was a good buy, so it has been purchased. A previous report by another ClickMechanic inspector saved me from an expensive mistake; this one has, I believe, helped me buy a very straight van at a fair price. A very satisfactory outcome.

Can't say I was massively impressed by James when he did a pre purchase inspection for me. Missed the fact the vehicle had worn shock absorbers, a serious leak of power steering fluid and rumbling wheel bearings.
I expected more than a guy to take it for a drive and lie underneath it, next time at least take a jack. From what the seller says it wasn't much more than a tyre kicking exercise.
Communication was poor, not much more than a two word text message.

We did have a long chat on.the phone and you asked me if the car would make a 1.800 mile journey home abroad
At the time of the inspection non of these faults where present.The car also had a recent mot and again these would have been flagged up.its been almost 8 weeks from inspection to review.And during this time anything could have happened.

James was fab, so helpful, even when he did get stuck on a toad closure trying to get to me. Then when got here to do the job, it couldn’t be done, but he was totally professional, and came up with a solution and came to my workplace the next day and fixed my problem. Commas were great and truly helpful. Would give 6 stars if I could 👍👍👍👍

Nice guy, very experienced, knows his stuff.
Very pleased that James fitted a Lucas alternator (not the cheapest) and had the foresight to get a replacement drive belt as well.
Dorset Response is no longer on this site but we are still very much around.
