Before I booked a mechanic to fix my cars battery I expressly mentioned that I needed a VAT registered mechanic as the car is used for a company. But my surprise is that after the job was done and money taken I received a receipt. There is when I noticed the mechanic is not VAT registered.

James arrived way earlier than the time was agreed and he rushed me so much even though we never agreed that time. After that he looked in rush and no very friendly manners.
Another thing I didnt understand is, why do I have to dispose the old battery? He left me the old battery and told me to dispose it next to rubbish bins which I later on found out is illegal.
I thought mechanic should take old battery after changing it.

Experience overall wasn't the best. But don't discard using click mechanic for future services.

Im.the operations manager and we read all reviews.James has a 98% positive record.
So when a customer writes a bad review that is out of character for James we investigate.
The Vat issue.At the time of booking you can request a VAT registered mechanic you simply didn't ask for a this.
As we are not VAT registered then your job would not have been offered if you had booked correctly
Timing. If James is running ahead of time he will contact customers to ask if that's ok to arrive early.
He called you and you agreed to have your car repaired earlier so again our records showed this happened.

It would be pointless rearranging a booking without prior consent as customers may not be in.
The car has official NHS markings as we repair front line workers,and we are visiting shielded customers so we have to follow strict guidelines.And you was reminded of this a number of times


OUR CARS HAVE CAMERAS AND JAMES HAS A BODY CAMERA.
ON THREE OCCASIONS DURING THE BOOKING YOU WAS ASKED TO RESPECT THE SOCIAL DISTANCE RULE AND YOU REFUSED .
AT ONE POINT JAMES FORMALLY HAD TO ASK YOU TO ADHERE TO SOCIAL DISTANCE OTHERWISE THE BOOKING WOULD BE IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED.
I'm pleased to say James has over 3000 reviews 98% mention his helpful friendly and carries out a professional job.
His a very popular and loved member of our team and the click mechanic team.
James carried out the repair quickly and in very difficult circumstances where you simply refused to keep your distance.
Its very difficult for James to be chatty when his in this situation.
We are disappointed that you are unhappy with the booking however after viewing the audio and video evidence with you aggressive manner it's a credit to our staff that he continued and completed the booking.
We are aware that stress and worry is causing some aggressive behaviour in some customers .
However it's never pleasant to witness our staff having to deal with these situations
