My car was in for Arnold Clark for a servicing as I got a 3 year service plan with the vehicle, and it just happened while in for a servicing that the Throttle Valve went on the VW. I asked Arnold Clark out of curiosity a quote for supplying and fitting a Throttle Valve, and Arnold Clark or Arnold Shark should I say, quoted £1200 and claimed it was a 7 hour job at £130 an hour labour and over £200 for the part. I did my homework so challenged them on the labour costs and they said that’s the time it takes to fit. So I took my car out and found Ben on Click mechanic. Whom was fantastic. He was prompt, and honest and supplied and fitted the part and it only took 30 mins to install. He tested and checked it was installed correctly before giving me my vehicle back. All is fine with the car and morale of the story of my long winded review, is don’t always trust dealerships with their quotes and lack of honesty.
