My financial support insisted that I get at least two competitive quotes for fixing the vehicle. Unfortunately I was unable to obtain a second quote before the time limit on James' quote expired. Due to limitations of working in my car port and not having access to full diagnostic and inspection facilities that would have been available in a workshop, James was unable to diagnose the problem with certainty and the proposed next step of ECU system replacement was effectively a further diagnostic step to eliminating most of the many possibilities.
