Absolute terrible experience. Rude , condescending, not helpful one bit .had injector problems for a while and have known about it . He took the air cover off . Told me I need 4 new injectors I dmsaid I will look on Ebay. ( why look on eBay) was the comment from him to which I replied at least it would give me a idea of price . Didn't do a diagnostic check . Was informed the engine would need to come out or even cheaper to replace the engine. He didn't want the job too much like hard work . Am at fault for letting the vehicle get in this state . However don't need a rude mechanic telling me . So £71 for something I already knew . A lot of carbon (Black death ) . But I knew that anyway . Awful experience. NEVER AGAIN Read more

Hi Tony
Well I have to say I’m very surprised at your comments as that isn’t how I saw the visit at all. If you look at your report you will see I diagnosed injector 3 has popped out and required refitting, I did not mention anything about needing 4 new injectors, I did say you may need to replace number 3. Your van is quite old, in a poor state of service and has over 200000 miles. I suggested that rather than pay for hours of mechanic time trying to solve your injector problems it may be prudent to see if you could locate a good used engine with less mileage for a similar price of the repair- this would have left you in a better position in the end.
I totally refute your allegation of rudeness- I am a mild mannered person with lots of reviewers who comment on my professional manner and politeness and I treated you no differently. I was quite happy to help you solve your issues but unfortunately that can’t be done in a 40 minute visit by anyone. I would recommend that you book the van into a garage as they will have the proper facilities to deal with your issue. However, as explained on the visit you will be looking at a substantial repair bill however you go about it. To suggest I was rude just because I politely pointed out that your van had not been maintained and that was the cause of the damage is frankly bizarre, it is a part of my job to give people bad news sometimes and 99.9% of people appreciate that honesty. Again I must stress that you booked a 40min diagnostic visit and not a repair!
