Matt gave me a ring in the morning to let me know when he’d be coming. Friendly, let me know what the problem was and made a recommendation to see a specialist. Would definitely reach out to him / use him again.

He was very helpful and friendly. Gave us the correct advice and told us it wasn't a mechanic we need but an electrician as it might be a wiring problem not a mechanical problem.

Really happy with his work and how he sorted my issues. Even managed to sort out my brake fluid whilst he carried out the job.

Good set of lads overall but since having the breaks done I have rubbing scratching on the disk when I break and turn left which has caused damage to the disk know so the whole lot is will heave to be re replaced. I have had issues with mechanics on here before with faulty products or cheap products so I cannot say I will be rushing back to click mechanic

Toyota Auris Battery replacement (vehicles with stop/start system)

I booked a mechanic through ClickMechanic late on a Sunday evening after returning from a trip with a completely flat battery. At the time, I genuinely didn’t know if the car would start the next day, so I needed urgent help.
The mechanic, Dylan, was friendly and did complete the job in the end, and my car is now running normally. However, the overall experience was mixed. He had to visit three times because the first battery brought was the wrong type. I wasn’t aware that my car required a start-stop battery, and I had expected ClickMechanic to verify this based on the licence plate. My old battery was also taken away and then brought back later in the day, which added some confusion.
Communication was challenging at times as I struggled to understand explanations over the phone, and the information about additional charges changed a couple of times before the final bill. I appreciate that the situation was unusual, and Dylan did eventually resolve the issue, but the process was more complicated and time-consuming than I expected.
Overall, the work was completed successfully, but the experience could have been smoother.

So the problem was you booked for a non stop start battery, we turned up with the none stop start battery which when stripped (your battery is in the boot) became apparent you had booked the wrong part.
We took your old battery away to match up to bring back the correct one however as this was a special order for the stop start one it was requiring a special order.
So we brought back your old battery and when the new one came we fit that.
The extra charges are for the call out of ordering wrong parts for your car.

Terrible experience.
To start with, Dylan never attended this booking. He sent someone else that was very late. The window he was supposes to show up in was in between 10:00 and 12:00 and he turned up just after 3PM. By that time, I already stripped off most of the front wheels components including break calipers so he could have a good look at what the problem could be. This should have been done by him not me. He did not touch the car at all. Instead the guess what the problem is and guesses wrong. The break bracket is made out of cast iron and does not bend, it is more likely to break than bend and yet there was nothing bent or broken on the brackets.
He spent 5 minutes trying to give me explanations that made no sense at all such at the wheels are the wrong size and other such things. By the way, those are the wheels that my car has on right not aftet it was fixed. Nothing wrong with the wheels. And because the wheels are the wrong size these bent the break brackets (inwardly) and therefore they are grinding against the break rotors, he said. Because he made no sense to me, I had to ask questions to which he did not give a satisfying answer but assured me he knows what he is doing as he's been doing this for 15 years according to him. This came across as a bit arrogant and with superiority. This chap sent by Dylan, came in his personal car with his family (wife and kid(s)) with him this being a clear indication that this was the last job of the day and he had absolutely no intention to spend the necessary time to diagnose the problem correctly. At the end of this useless and costly conversation I asked then to be sent a quotation for the repairs at his suggestion. The quotation came in at just shy of £900, money that they would charge me for this job on top of the ridiculous amount of nearly £80 I was charged for 5 minutes of back and forth conversation with this chap. That is all unnecessary parts and labour I must underline here. It goes without saying that I want my money back in full. The correct diagnosis is completely different and I hope this gets passed down to the chap that was down to see the car so he get's informed. My role is not to educate the so called "professionals", yet here I am doing just that. In reality, what has happened is, I've changed my summer wheels with the winter ones and the front wheels bolts were too long. Nevertheless I screwed these in and they pushed the wheel bearings with the break rotors outward making the rotors grind against the outer side of the break brackets, thus making the car behave as if the breaks were stuck. I have already went through all this loss of time due to this, please refund me asap.

To start with what a load of nonsense,
You rang at the start of the appointment to see where we was which we explained it’s a window of which we will arrive and was aiming for 12pm, you then told us you had personal earrings to run and you didn’t have a car so was going to get the bus and requested us to come at 3pm so we did.
Next, a member of staff attended your job where you had put the wrong size wheels on your car and physically chopped your wheel nuts in half in order to get them to fit, not just a bodge but physically dangerous, by doing so you forced your wheel bearing assembly physically out to the point you was crushing your calliper and bending the carriers and putting them under tension with the disc up against these.
Damaging the disc and carrier and potential calliper. All of this was QUOTED for accordingly, and explained once stripped if the callipers are ok we can take them off the job.
Fast forward to yesterday you openly told us that no mechanic had fixed the car but infact you did the repair your self in order to put the car back on the road, something I’d hardly trust given the damage you caused in the first place and physically chopping wheel nuts in half.
You told us that the carriers wasn’t bent and you’ve used the old disc which may I add is very dangerous and putting other road users at risk due to the arrogance of your self trying to save a couple of quid.
I’ve requested you let me come check the work and that it’s been done correctly and under warranty and the only thing we’d charge for is if the work was dangerous and you let me take photos of this, you very quickly declined this and no longer wanted to entertain the matter.
Further more, I genuinely believe this vehicle is a major safety concern so will be following up by passing all the vehicles details to the DVSA and vosa for no other reason than you are literally going to hurt someone and the vehicle is in a VERY dangerous state.

The mechanic was friendly and efficient on what was a cold and miserable day. He was later to turn up than he originally intended, but I was kept up to date throughout the day and was working from home anyway.
So much easier than the last service, where I booked it into the official Audi centre and had to walk home a couple of miles and pick it up at the end of the day.
