Overall Mark prepared a good report on the car with some relevant pictures and he was available to discuss the car. The car has had some obvious paint respray on the bonnet and a wing which was not picked up. In addition there was a vibration under acceleration which was also not highlighted even though this should have been evident from any test drive. Adjustable suspension was marked as N/A on my report despite this being a key feature of the car. Mark advised he did test this just did not complete the report correctly. The total time from booking to receiving my report was 1h 45 mins. I do wonder if the inspection was as thorough as it could have been. Certainly I think the test drive could have been more thorough. Thanks for your comments as I explained it was raining at time of inspection, and car looked spotless I tried to wipe areas to check paintwork but with continuous rain it was hard to see, I did ask owner if it had had any paint, which he replied NO, as for the vibration the car was in remote country side with nothing but country lanes around, I didn’t know the area as never been there before so I stuck to the country lanes reaching speeds of 50 to 60 mph the car drove find under those conditions, there was no vibration for me, I only take a 10 minute test drive and car drove fine, unless something has happened since my test drive? As it’s now Monday and I tested car last Wednesday, it’s really hard to pinpoint any faults when car can only be driven down country lanes and can’t really be put under any pressure, I did the inspection to best of my ability, as for the time scale, it was booked in for 4pm, I arrived at 3. 20pm and owner was there so I started car straight away so I actually took longer than the time mentioned, not including my 1hr 10 mins each direction travelling, I’m sorry you feel I missed these faults but being raining it’s really hard to spot bad paintwork as all looks good in the wet. So today I had a car pre inspection completed by Andy.
For added peace of mind before any purchase decision was made.
Communication was good and he was punctual to this appointment.
The inspection was completed thoroughly and afterwards I was given a report with pictures of the vehicle too. I felt confident in Andy and his knowledge.
The report was very easy to understand and if there was anything I was unsure of then Andy was available to answer my concerns.
I would highly recommend this service.
