Pleasant and friendly, got the job done and was happy to go above and beyond (stayed after his working hours). Only downfall was the timing but was communicated and kept in the loop so can’t hold it against him, we all have bad days. Would recommend☺️

BMW X5 Diesel particulate filter (DPF) forced regeneration

Requested a forced regeneration and paid 125 quoted price for it which was fine. Jim came and told me he had to take car for a drive to do the regeneration . Upon return he showed me glow plug problem codes on his computer and told me these had to be replaced before he could do the regeneration, quoted me £220 for the glow plug replacement and £80 for the regeneration.
He returned the following Saturday to complete it . Upon completion he quoted me £710 and I challenged the price . He told me the price was just for parts and it’s didn’t include vat and labours which he didn’t mention at all the week before .
The forced regeneration also only lasted 2 days and upon calling him he’s blaming the exhaust , I asked him for a price to fix it and he said he would get back to me which he hasn’t for 5 day.
Really bad experience

Thankyou for your review . We carried out the work as you requested for your dpf clean . Unfortunately the vehicle had been driven too long before this work was carried out and it was in limp mode , we managed to clear the fault and you were advised that you may need a new dpf system if the problem came back again . We always strive to give our customers the best possible outcome and great value as you can see from all our other great reviews. We are mechanics not magicians and a magic wand is not part of our tool kit . Regards SAS
