Mercedes-Benz 408-410 Fuel tank replacement

The gentleman concerned text me to say he was 40 minutes away and in fact it was well over an hour before he got to me. Not withstanding that I asked for the fuel strainer in my Motorhome fuel tank to be removed and cleaned. Fourty minute job at the most. The gentleman concerned promptly dropped some diesel from the fuel tank on the grass (I am staying on a campsite so not very ethical or clever) and told me that the fuel was badly contaminated. Without trying any of the bolts holding the tank in place he told me he would have to grind them off because they were covered in tar. A spray of wd40 they came loose. I was quoted 3hours work to take tank off go to another garage and burn tar off. It scraps of with a screwdriver. I made an appointment with him and click he will not now attend Read more

As you are aware holiday traffic is very very heavy hence the delay.the fuel spilt was less then a half cup full,you expected me to drain 20 gallons of fuel in an area where it isn't allowed to do that.at no time on your booking was this mentioned.so after you had calmed down I explained if you relocated out the campsite I could return the next day with pumping gear and enough containers to hold your fuel.you did agree to this.and your camper van was drivable.however you did receive the follow on booking but failed to book it.you texted me asking why I hadn't turned up and i explained that I hadn't been booked. so I had a number of abusive text messages from.you and a number of treats one of them to put a bad review.my first I may add.i wasn't going to be bullied on the day to drain large volumes of fuel and I'm not going to be bullied into turning up without a booking.i was very happy to try and help you and so was click.i realise that your on site stuck and this effected your temper.however your aggressive manner and demanding a dangerous and illegal operation to be carried out means 5 days on your still in the same situation.its a difficult situation for you.its a shame you didn't inform people trying to help you the actual problem.so I could have come prepared.and still after two hours in traffic listen to how the situation could be solved.if you had booked the follow on booking all this would have been solved. James turned up on time and maintained good communication throughout. He delt with a difficult clutch problem very well and had every confidrnce in his professionalism. He clearly had excellent knowledge of Mini's. The repair has been throughly tested. A good all round experience and I would use this service again.

I reported a noise coming from gearbox/clutch area to two garages. Neither could be sure of problem without further analysis. The cost, if problem was with the clutch and/or gearbox seemed as if it was going to be a fairly big amount. I therefore found "Click Mechanic" on line and the quote seemed a lot cheaper. I registered and informed that a mechanic (James) would attend within a couple of days. James arrived and listened to the noise and immediately said that the problem was more than likely to be with the drive between clutch the gearbox. Eventually a new clutch and drive shaft were fitted and the noise problem ended. I now have a much quieter car. Read more
