To be honest this review system is flawed. I never met the mechanic and cannot comment on his punctuality nor his quality as he did a pre purchase inspection for me and I guess only time will tell.

I can tell you that his communication and helpfulness were excellent.

Disappointingly and not his fault when he sent me the report I also received his overall score which was only 64 out of 100. It would have been nice to know that before hand because it would have meant I would not want him to do my inspection. Why is this information not made available to the customer before hand? Why is his score so low?

I just paid £6000 for a second hand car and I wanted to protect myself from buying a heap of junk and so I would have preferred to have a mechanic whose score was 90% plus.

But of course mechanics like mine probably wouldn't get much work. He seemed to have the experience but I would have also liked to know that the mechanic I was getting was experienced in Jaguars. However there were no contact details for him with the booking (I was told there were at the bottom of the email but it seems that I was right and there were none)

Only time will tell if all is well with my purchase. I have given this guy top marks for quality although only time will tell on that and punctuality because the seller never told me he was late.

Hopefully all will work out but I do think Click Mechanic needs to change the way it allocates mechanics and disclose beforehand mechanics scores. Also as I said they should see what experience the mechanic has with certain makes.

Anthony was polite and pleasant and arrived on time. He was also accommodating when I needed to change days for the appointment. The problem is that the fault with my car went a bit beyond what he could do then and there. He did what he could but I'll still need to go into a garage. Even so, he did give me his diagnosis which is useful information. It's a good service, but be aware you may need a garage service anyway.
