Dougie arrived within the allocated time frame and gave my car a full service and MOT completely contact free. It was meant to be at my work address I've recently had to start working from home again after making the booking, Dougie arrived at my home to pick up the car instead. Car was returned the same day. Dougie kept in touch the whole time and even called to suggest after care. I will definitely use Dougie again. He took the hassle out it the whole process, especially during Covid. Mechanic was supposed to show up between 10-12 on Tuesday however I called at 12:30 after a no show and was told that "he forgot". I was told that he couldn't come round as he was busy in the garage and so he could only manage the next day. Mechanic didn't show up until 17:30 the next day (Wednesday), the service was carried out and he left. The next day (Thursday) I turn on the car and notice the check engine light was on, which it wasn't before the mechanic worked on my car. I called and asked him to come back around, he said he would pop around on his way home from work. It was 19:00 (Thursday) before he was able to come, he figured out he had turned the sensor off the day before and the car wasn't picking it up. The issue was resolved and he left.

The mechanic was very knowledgeable which resulted in a repair carried out prior to purchase. So money worth spent

Started out friendly enough and took my car away.. didn't get my car MOTed on the day promised he actually MOTed it the day later, this is when I found out this was unfortunately the guy who damaged my Mini Cooper last year and told me it was a non-runner when I was instead told it was fine. It took me 2 weeks to get my car back and he continuously ignored any message I had and would delay, apparently putting it through about 5 different MOT's and showing me no proof to any of this. I eventually got my car back and he made me pay some cash in person after continuously mixing up his prices and then adding £100's more on to the final quote bill than what we had agreed in text.

I got my car back and it would make a really loud noise upon start up, as well as having an unusual continuous rattle and the window wiper literally falling off, I planned to have a Mechanic come and view it for me as I was worried and the next day the car wouldn't even start after a few drives the car was completely dead, this went in with barely any issues other than a mild rattle and came out so bad.. scratches on my car, rattling worse than ever, the inside of the car pulled apart. Also can I add a funny part is that he told me some of the extra money I owed was because of the fuel and this came back literally empty, it almost came to a halt going to fill it up with fuel down the road he had emptied it that bad. But the main issue is the fact that my car with seemingly mild issues ended up just like the last car he took from me, completely unresponsive and no longer working, it's now sitting as a non-runner and will need to be sold as such. Also don't expect him to tell you anything about what's being fixed, by who or where its being fixed.

I made a mistake not reviewing my mechanic, I ended up with the same guy that damaged my last car and he done it twice in a row, a mistake I won't make again, always research your mechanic, if you do end up with this guy, please be very careful. Read more
